Our verdict
The EQ.300 is the simplest of our one-touch milk picks and a gentle way into bean-to-cup. Four coffee drinks, including cappuccino and latte macchiato at one touch, come from a short row of buttons rather than menus. Milk is drawn through a tube from your own container, and the frother parts come apart and go in the dishwasher. The brewing unit lifts out for a rinse under the tap, and calc’nClean descales and cleans in a single programme, so there are fewer separate jobs to remember.
The limits come with the simplicity: four drinks, a small tank, and no user profiles or app. If that suits you, it is one of the easiest machines we list to learn. Siemens also keeps functionally relevant spare parts for ten years on machines made after 1 January 2023, which is worth knowing for a first machine you hope to keep.
Cleaning and running costs
After each milk drink, put a half-full glass of water under the frother and run its clean, then take it off and wash it. Empty and clean the drip tray and grounds container every day, and rinse the brewing unit under running water regularly, without washing-up liquid or vinegar-based cleaners and never in the dishwasher. calc’nClean takes about 40 minutes: clean the brewing unit and frother first, and use Siemens’ tablets (TZ80001B for cleaning, TZ80002B for descaling). Siemens warns against pure citric acid, vinegar and descalers containing phosphoric acid. The BRITA Intenza filter (TZ70003) should be changed after two months at the latest, and Siemens lists an insulated milk container (TZ80009N) as an accessory. Set the water hardness from your water company’s figure or the test strip, so the service light comes on at the right time.
Owner reports
Only three UK owner reviews were open to us, all from buyers at Siemens’ own store, which is too few to judge it by. Two said it is very easy to use. Single owners mentioned water collecting in a tray inside the machine, cleaning and descaling coming round often, and a milk frother that stopped working early. Treat these as single reports, not a pattern.
Who should look elsewhere
For more drinks and a milk jug with no tubes, look at the Philips 3300 LatteGo. If you’d rather froth milk by hand, the De’Longhi Magnifica S is simpler still. Compare it with every bean-to-cup machine we track, read our pick of the best bean-to-cup coffee machines, or see how to descale in a hard-water area.

Siemens EQ.300 questions
How do I clean the milk frother on a Siemens EQ.300?
Clean it after each use. Put a half-full glass of water under the frother and run the frother clean, then take the frother off and clean it; Siemens says its parts can go in the dishwasher. The manual also asks you to clean the frother, along with the brewing unit, before you start a calc’nClean programme.
Can the Siemens EQ.300 brewing unit go in the dishwasher?
No. Siemens’ manual says to take it out and rinse it under running water regularly, without washing-up liquid or vinegar-based cleaners, and never to put it in the dishwasher. The milk frother parts are the ones that can go in the dishwasher. Empty and clean the drip tray and grounds container every day as well.
How long does calc'nClean take on the Siemens EQ.300?
About 40 minutes. calc’nClean descales and cleans in one run. Clean the brewing unit and the milk frother before you start, and put only cleaning tablets in the brewing unit duct. Siemens sells TZ80001B cleaning tablets and TZ80002B descaling tablets for it, and warns against pure citric acid, vinegar and descalers containing phosphoric acid.
Which water filter fits the Siemens EQ.300?
The BRITA Intenza filter, sold by Siemens as TZ70003, or TZ70033A for a pack of three. Change it after two months at the latest. Set the water hardness on the machine too, at one of four levels, using your water company’s figure or the test strip, so the service light comes on at the right time.
